This piece is part of the Indigo, Everywhere Spring 2026 Collection by Ayo & Aye. Crafted from Bamana resist-dyed cotton, this open-front jacket celebrates the expressive dye traditions of West Africa.

The textile is newly woven cotton cloth dyed using traditional resist techniques that create the striking organic patterns seen across the fabric. Rendered here in a vivid purple resist-dyed tone, the jacket highlights the beauty of the dye process where folds, bindings, and dye immersion produce bold linear and cloud-like forms. These patterns give each garment its own visual rhythm and ensure that no two pieces are identical.

Cut in a relaxed open-front silhouette with a thigh-length hem, the jacket layers effortlessly over dresses, denim, and everyday pieces. The easy drape allows the textile to move naturally while showcasing the dynamic resist-dyed design.

Each garment is made from handwoven cloth hand-dyed in small batches, and natural variations in tone, pattern placement, and weave are part of the authenticity of the textile.
