Our Stories
Ayo & Aye is where tradition and contemporary design merge. We prioritize pieces that reflect the depth, beauty, and traditions of artisanal Africa and are best known for the exceptional clothing and accessories we create and curate using rare textiles and time-honored techniques—producing distinctive pieces known for bold colors and rich textures that resonate deeply. Ayo & Aye is named in honor of two sisters, Ekundayo (Ayo) and Ayebodele (Aye), born into a Gambia Krio family in 1940s Bathurst—today’s Banjul. Their blended African heritage anchors the brand and inspires us to reimagine fashion and storytelling in bold new ways.
